Dominica is a beautiful, small island in the southern Caribbean. Dominica has some of the best diving in the Caribbean because of its location. Most dive sites are walls that start from 10m to around 30m.
There are sites for all levels of divers. Most are located very close to shore. Whales are known to migrate through the waters of Dominica. The best time to spot whales is November and May.

The best time is between February and May. High season is usually between December and April but Dominica attracts less international tourists than its neighbors.

Dominica’s best dive sites
Swiss Cheese
Aptly named Swiss Cheese after the huge number of swim-throughs. It’s a shallow site that descends to 16 meters. As you go through the swim-throughs, you will find a number of fish species and other interesting marine life to uncover. Make sure your buoyancy is spot-on before embarking on this underwater obstacle course.
Crater’s Edge
At this site, the Caribbean meets the Atlantic Ocean, and a huge variety of pelagic creatures like tuna can be spotted. This site can only be explored when conditions are calm and the current is weak.
Dangle Bends Pinnacle
An incredible dive site with five pinnacles starting from 18m to 30m. The vastness and topography of this dive site is stunning. The site features beautiful barrel sponges that are home to marine life.
